He has shot for a wide variety production companies and agencies both advertising and editorial for many and varied clients. Zac likes to use a strong graphic element in his shooting style, using colour and composition as a thread that runs through his work.
Where can you shoot ?
Zac is very familiar with shooting commercial advertising projects in purpose-built flooded studios, tanks or private pools for ultimate control as much as in the open sea on assignment. Zac has built up countless fix it contacts all around the world to help facilitate your production and a large knowledge of locations to help you find that special beach or bay just right for your shoot.
As a camera housing and camera owner / operator, pricing for Zac is based on a competitive day rate. We always try to work to a budget, if required. Let us know your requirements.
We’re familiar with a range of underwater film studios, tanks, pools and locations (in the UK, and abroad). Day rates suit all budgets, depending on your project, or production.
Camera Equipment Owned
We own all our own housings and cameras for the Red systems, which makes each shoot easy and more cost effective than otherwise.
Our kit is all fully insured and is covered by proffessional and public all eventualities and liability insurance.
Typically in the first instance we have a meeting / talk about your lighting requirements reflecting the mood and feel you would like to see.
Lighting can be either a competitive all in package, or you may need a more bespoke lighting kit list created for specialist larger shoots. Both these categories require a qualified lighting gaffer / electrician.
We work with both dry (topside) and / or underwater lighting equipment, both types are typically the latest most recenly available gear.
We can recommend and work regularly with a couple of the best gaffers in the business who are very experienced lighting next to, on top off or in the water. Alternatively you can use your own experienced lighting gaffer.
We work with a tight, well known crew that we have worked with for many years. Crew are generally tailored to the production type, from just one camera assistant to a much larger crew for larger productions.
My main priority is safety which is the key to enabling productions to get the footage they need.
We have access to marine vessels, support vessels and qualified crews through one of our closest partners which we have worked with for over 25 years to suit each particular job when required.
Planning and Preparation
Planning starts during the early stages of script read throughs and doesn’t stop until the shoot is finished.
Preparation and knowledge is the key meaning a production rarely has to wait on our team.
Zac holds the all important HSE qualification, a legal requirement to work underwater in the UK with crew and lighting productions.
